Since 1996, Computer Associates (CA) has played a vital role in providing financial support and CA software solutions to help NCMEC find missing children and prevent child sexual exploitation. CA assisted in the acquisition and opening of our headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. CA developed NCMEC's web site, www.missingkids.com, enabling information on missing children to be posted and shared quickly and easily using a standard web browser. Behind the scenes, CA provides software solutions and professional support to NCMEC's information technology operations.  In 1998, CA assisted in the development of the CyberTipline, an online application by which individuals can supply NCMEC with information on cases of child exploitation. In 2004, CA was involved in the design, development, and implementation of the Global Missing Children's Web Site, a network of countries that has reached a total of 16 web sites.

In 2004, CA helped to roll out the CleverPath Portal to NCMEC's Exploited Child Unit, Case Analysis and Support Division, and the NetSmartz Workshop to assist with day-to-day operations. The NetSmartz Workshop, a partnership of NCMEC and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, is an interactive Internet safety education program. CleverPath enables NetSmartz to manage production schedules and workflow over our Intranet including document sharing, version control, and workflow management. In the future, CleverPath Dashboard will help manage the program's web servers including viewing and analyzing real-time web-site statistics for www.NetSmartz.org, and monitoring the health and responsiveness of the web server

In 2005, NetSmartz will provide age-appropriate NetSmartz content to CA's Digital Schoolhouse. The Digital Schoolhouse, an initiative of the non-profit Computer Associates Digital Schoolhouse Foundation, is a program that provides children with a technology-based learning environment.
